Hans Indigo Spencer's composing career stretches over twenty years of supporting stories for theater directors, filmmakers, animators, and choreographers. He brings his full breadth of experience as a performing jazz musician, improviser, and educator to every project. |

Educated in classical composition at Oberlin Conservatory and earning a Master's Degree in Jazz Studies from the New England Conservatory, Hans has built a reputation for being a world-class collaborator in any genre. Regularly performing at Improv Boston theater, he cut his teeth providing real-time live underscoring for New England's best improvising actors. Through his years in Boston, he was also developing an audience for his twelve-piece band, the Indigo Invention Group, which incorporated imaginative stories into big-band jazz. All the while, he worked as a freelance saxophonist, playing with the top musicians in Boston. |

He currently devotes all of his creative energy to media composing now that he and his family have settled in the beautiful coastal city of Portland, Maine. |
