| IRON KISSES OPENS AT PORTLAND STAGE |
|
March, 2007
James Still's two person dramatic play under Risa Brainin's direction opens March 2. Starring Janice O'Rourke and Tom Ford, the play features heavy use of original music and sound design, as well as images projected on a thirty-foot rear projection screen. The collaboration with Risa began with discussions about the script followed by Hans composing test pieces based on her vision of incorporating "wispy, gossamer" musical backgrounds to the unique play. The use of music and sound for this performance had to both create atmosphere and support the themes of memory and grief without getting in the way of the words. Once the play went into rehearsal, Hans continued composing and revising, often right in the theater, where his mobile studio was wirelessly connected to the sound board.

| MUSIC FEATURED ON ADULT SWIM SHOW |
|
January, 2007
Hans provided Cartoon Network with a custom library of cues for Adult Swim's "Assy McGee". The show finished its initial six episode run on January 6. Producers of the show needed a range of music to complement existing library music. The challenge here was to create music which gave the show a fresh, consistent sound, while building on the sound developed using in-house music prior to bringing Indigo on board. |
